Reliable BPE Rod-based Wire wrapped Screen

Wire-wrapped Screens are also known as Johnson type screen, wedge wire screens, well screens, wire wrapped well screens, v shaped well screens.

Wire-wrapped Screens are manufactured by a v or wedge shaped wire around an internal array of longitudinal support rods, rods spaced evenly around the circumference support the screen and prevent the screen from deformation. The world advanced all-weld technology is used with each intersecting point of these wire fusion welded, which creates the robust construction and excellent mechanical performance. The v or wedge shaped profile wire wraps around the support rods over the full length of the screen creating a continuous slot opening, hence the screen allows water(oil) to enter your well freely in ample quantities, while at the same time keeps the majority of sand and gravel out of the well. The slots can be changed according to different strata. End fittings have the function to secure the screen body.

Characteristics of Wire-wrapped Screens
1. The V-shape section plane of well screens creates the continuous slot, which can avoid blockage and make sure of the unimpeded water and easy to clean;
2. The consecutive slot of well screens have wider open area, and it can reduce the speed of the oil/water entering to avoid the sand entering the screen under the great pressure, so it can control sand better, which can increase the oil/water yield and prolong service time of the well.
3. Wire and support rods are all-welded for collapse resistance, which makes well screens more robust and longer life
4. The longitudinal support rods and the continuous slot make the well screens have more excellent pressure-resistant performance.
5. Specifications and end connections of well screens can me fabricated according to customers’ requirements.

6. Minimum slot opening: 0.1mm, which can satisfy the most of well-completion requirements.

1) All data come from PW90×PW90 design;
2) Wire and rod material: AISI304, AISI 304L,AISI 316, AISL316L; carbon steel and special alloys like Monel or as required depending on practical applications.
3) Base-pipe: carbon steel, API J55, N80, P110, C90, 13Cr, or more;
4) Slot width: 0.1-2.0mm or as per customers’ requirement
5) Wire Wrapped Screens length (m): 1.8, 3.0, 6.0, 9.0, 12.0, or more.

6) Specifications , such as the slot width, the number of ribs, the diameter of base pipe and end fittings and thread connections are all customized for different applications and diverse requirements by customers.
