BPE API DRILL COLLAR

Drill collar is the basic component in the BHA which provides weight on the bit for drilling and keeps the drill string in tension.

BPE drill collar has been approved by the NS-1 certification, it is manufactured from 4145H modified quenched and tempered steel, strict metallurgical specifications are followed to insure that full length heat treating products a consistent maximum depth of hardness.

BPE can not only carry out the cold working of thread roots, phosphating on threads and break-in, but also progress slip and elevator grooves, spiral groove, double shoulder and other premium connections.

Special features and benefits:

1, heat treatment: Japanese gas heating and walking beam continuous heat treatment furnace is adopted. The heat treated products have stable performance and homogeneous materials.

2, trepanning: boring is carried out from both ends, which leads to better coaxiality and higher threading accuracy.

3, thread surface treatment: hot phosphorization is adopted, which contributes to a fine and uniform thickness of phosphate coating, superior adhesion property and gall-resistance.

1, boring is carried our from both ends to ensure the concentricity and small wall thickness variation, so as to minimum the centrifugal force when rotating and prevent rotary shouldered connection failures.

2, to trepan after heat treatment helps to prevent the quench crack on inner-surface.
